Greek & Hebrew Bibles app good for
Olive Tree Bible Software is to be commended for their iPhone apps. I have the ESV and NIV Bibles on my phone as well as this one which includes the Hebrew Old Testament and the Greek New Testament. They are fast and easy to use and navigation is effortless. As a preacher and theology professor it is wonderful to have these resources with me wherever I go. Thanks Olive Tree.
I use this for my sermons on my iPad and have my iPhone with me at all times as a resource. Would recommend this app to minister and lay member alike.
Love the BHS and NA28 apps from Olive Tree. I like checking the Greek text of my pastors sermons and the lessons I am teaching in SS. Its helpful in looking up Hebrew words and structures in the same way. I can pair a translation or commentary (I like Lenski) on the side or at the bottom. Easy to use, flexible, with a great search function. A must have for serious Bible students.
I have the Greek NT open in the left column, set so that I can touch a word and the definition and parsing pop up; and in the right column I have the English translation, also set so I can see the Greek equivalent when I tap a word, along with concordance info. Amazing. I love it!
This app is long overdue and warmly welcomed. Finally, I dont have to carry my NA27 and BHS with me!
Love the bhs and na27 at my fingertips. Split screen is very helpful. Hopefully parsed versions as shown become available soon. Apparatus is absent but search feature is nice. Expensive but simply a must have for language fanatics.
Some bad moments
This application is very expensive for the resources it offers. If your greek and hebrew is limited you will need to buy lexicons that are expensive too, because the application doesnt come with any greek or hebrew dictionnary. I suggest to the creators of this app. to include at least a hebrew and a greek lexicon with the basic ressources. Plus, I could not add on my Iphone any greek or hebrew lexicon since they are only offer for other devices. Conclusion: this app could be much more useful if it had a basic lexicon integrated to the original text...
I bought this because I thought they would have the best software. What a waist of $50. "A+ Greek New Testament" is a much nicer piece of software at a fraction of the cost.
The other guys allow you to simple touch a word to get the definition and grammar! Olive tree is simply a book reader.
This software is missing at least a half dozen features. Honestly a true waist of my money!
Disappointed. I thought I was going to get a Greek NT that I could click and parse, but this is only a Hebrew Bible and Greek NT, that is available free elsewhere. Not sure what I paid for?
